While “edgy crime game” and “tactical turn-based combat” might seem like an unlikely duo, the final package is a deep, rewarding game that revels in its own comical amorality. Name one other Nutaku game where you have sex with deadly criminals and overthrow the government – go on, we’ll wait!

You start off Angry Bangers at the top of the criminal underworld, with the whole city wrapped around your little finger. But no sooner do you start the game than does corrupt mayor Elizabeth Core kick in your front door, make off with your wife, and leave you out on the streets with nothing. Now, without a cent to your name, you’ll have to put together a new crew and take back the streets – your streets.

What makes this hidden gem stand out, though, isn’t just the gritty adventure through gang warfare. Angry Bangers’ biggest asset in its fast-paced take on classic SRPG goodness. If you’ve ever been curious about the world of tactical role-playing games, but have been too afraid to take the plunge, Gethins Limited has you covered. Each round only lasts a few turns, which makes it easier to jump into a level and figure out the basics. Plus, much like certain old-school strategy favorites, Angry Bangers is laid out on an easy-to-read grid, meaning you’ll always know exactly where you’re taking cover – and exactly when you can pull off that perfect headshot!

Of course, it’s not a gang without gangsters, and Angry Bangers stars some of the sexiest ladies to ever get on the wrong side of the law. The roster runs the gamut of niches and sexual preferences, and each girl gets a little hornier with each upgrade. As you level up your squad, they’ll start to shed their clothes with each new level, which leads up to some extremely hot 3D sex at higher levels – on top of the base sex scenes you’ll unlock just for playing! What makes this so cool is that you’ll really only need the party members you want, provided you’re running a balanced team, which gives you free reign to assemble the team of your dreams. Personally, I’m a big fan of pistol-wielding popstar wannabe Lily Jean and leopard-clad axe fighter Tera Jax!

That’s another part of what makes Angry Bangers such a rewarding game. On top of easy-to-grasp, hard-to-master tactical gameplay and a pretty engaging story, you have complete control over what team you take into battle. It doesn’t often feel like you need a certain character to advance after you get past the early stages, with the possible exception of PvP, which helps you grow a stronger connection with your team. Having your ideal #girlgang role up and start wailing on thugs with uzis, axes, and Magnums is its own kind of special reward.
